I was at a house today cleaning carpet and the customer said that I was the only carpet cleaner that she has hired that has not tried to up charge her for spots that were difficult to get out. Of course she waited til we settled up before the comment was made, but it did not matter to me. I believe in charging a flat fee for my service. Most carpet is easy to clean with the right chemicals, I don’t find the need to up charge for an ounce of chemical to remove a spot. I let the customer know up front how much and what to expect this way it is yes or no on if they want it done and no surprises.
